Dollar Store Seashell Craft

While we were at the beach I wanted to collect seashells to do some sort of craft. I wish we had collected seashells on our honeymoon, but we didn’t so for our second vacation together I decided we were getting seashells. I didn’t come home with as many as I wanted because there were not a ton at this beach, but I got enough to make a cute decoration for our guest bathroom. I bought everything I needed at the dollar store so this was an inexpensive craft (if you take out the cost of the vacation to get the seashells right? haha). I came up with this Dollar Store Seashell Craft and I love it!

Dollar Store Seashell Craft- Love, Pasta and a Tool Belt

Supplies:
-Small candle holders ($1 each at Dollar Tree)
-Candles ($1 each at Dollar Tree)
-Seashells

Seashells-1 Seashells-2 Seashells-3

I played around with a few different ideas. I tried putting the seashells around the candles but I don’t think my candle holders were wide enough to make that work. So I decided to fill one small vase with the seashells and the other two with the candles. I created a really cute decoration for my guest bathroom that reminds me of the beach every time I see it. And it cost me less than $6, you can’t beat that right?

These are nice. I love shells. When our son was married at the beach, I made something similar for his rehearsal dinner. Thanks for this example…I may need to make some this summer…they really do give a bit of the beach wherever we are.

I love to pick seashells with my son but I have no idea what to do with them. I’ll try this after the next time we go to the beach. Thank you for sharing.
