Chicken Parmesan Baked Ziti

Chicken Parmesan Baked Ziti, doesn’t that combination just sound delicious? It’s like putting together two of my favorite italian meals into one delicious pasta dish! You know I am always excited to try out a new pasta dish so this was top of my list to make and I finally did, so yummy! It made so much that we had it twice in the week, which was great because with all of the work on the house we are doing cooking has been taking a back burner, sorry hubby ๐Ÿ™‚

Chicken Parm Baked Ziti

Ingredients:
-2 chicken breasts
-1/2 cup italian bread crumbs
-1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
-1 tsp garlic salt
-1/2 tsp garlic powder
-1/4 tsp black pepper
-1 egg
-1/4 cup milk
-2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
-1 jar Prego
-1 lb. ziti (I looked and looked and couldn’t find ziti so I ended up using rigatoni)
-1 cup mozzarella cheese

Directions:
1. Mix bread crumbs, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, garlic salt, garlic powder and black pepper into a small bowl
2. In another small bowl whisk together egg and milk
3. Cut chicken into cubes
4. Dip chicken into milk and egg mixture and then coat in bread crumb mixture
5. In a medium pan heat up olive oil and cook chicken until fully cooked
6. Prepare the ziti according to package directions
7. Pour drained noodles into a slightly greased 9×13 casserole dish
8. Pour sauce over the pasta
9. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese over sauce
10. Arrange chicken in a single layer over sauce
11. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over top of chicken
12. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted

This meal was so delicious! A seriously good pasta dish that the whole family will love! I hope you like this meal. What is your favorite pasta dish? Share any with me that you have posted, I am always looking for a good pasta recipe to try out! And don’t forget to Pin this recipe with the handy pin it button at the top ๐Ÿ™‚

I love this! I wish my oven wasn’t broken. Might have to butcher this up a little and make it in a microwave.
