It’s not too late for another apple recipe right? I say no way, apples to me are perfect year round. If you’re new here then you probably don’t know about my love for all things apples, it may rival my love for pasta. Apples in bread, in pies, in cheesecake and so on, you get the picture right? Well the recipe I have for you today is a favorite of mine that my grandma always makes. I had her send me the recipe a year ago and just now got around to making this 7Up TEN Apple Dessert.
This past weekend we got a new puppy and it was a bit of an exhausting weekend just trying to adjust to having a sleep schedule that is interrupted. Good practice for a baby one day right? I decided that we needed a special treat since we were having a sleepless weekend. I headed out to Kroger to pick up some 7Up TEN. This is a lower calorie 7Up so it was great to be able to make a dessert that was lower calorie but still just as delicious!
Ingredients
- 2 Granny Smith Apples
- 2 cans crescent rolls
- 12 ounces 7Up TEN
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Peel and core apples and cut into 8 slices for each apple
- Roll each apple up in once crescent roll triangle and place in greased 9x13 pan
- Melt butter and mix in sugar and cinnamon
- Pour sugar mixture over the crescent rolls
- Pour 7Up TEN over everything
- Bake at 350 for 1 hour
I love this apple dessert, we enjoyed it for lunch on Sunday and there is more in my fridge that I’m pretty sure I’m about to head down and enjoy for a snack right now! I love that I can make this delicious apple dessert lower calorie with 7Up TEN. This is a great recipe to enjoy now before the holiday craziness begins or to take with you to your holiday gatherings!
