Welcome in spring with this fun Hello Spring Wreath!

Spring is here in full force with all of it’s crazy weather. We had about two weeks straight of rain. Saturday was 80 degrees and then Sunday was 55 degrees and chilly. I had to celebrate the arrival of spring, and mostly warm days, with a cute wreath because you know how much I love wreaths. So I created my Hello Spring Wreath with some cute colored burlap and chalkboards.

A few months ago my mother in law and I went to the craft store and when you put us both in there we do some damage. She bought me these cute rolls of colored burlap and I had been waiting for a fun craft to do with them. When I was ready to make my spring wreath I knew that this burlap would be perfect for it.

Supplies:
– Foam wreath form
– Colored burlap
– Hot glue
-Small chalkboards
-Chalk Pens

Instructions:

1. Began by wrapping one color of burlap around the foam wreath, glue down the end.

2. Take your second color of burlap and wrap it loosely around to create a alternating color effect and hot glue the ends.

3. Take your small chalkboards and write a fun message on it, I chose Hello Spring!

4. Hot glue the chalkboards onto the wreath.

Did you know about chalk pens? I didn’t know about them until recently and I finally picked up some. I hate writing with chalk, the sound of it and feel of it just give me shivers. I also don’t have very pretty handwriting and it just gets worse when I try to write with chalk. So I was excited to be able to write with these chalk pens for my project and my future chalkboard projects!

What about you? Have you done any fun projects with chalk pens? I’d love to see them!
