Preparing to have a baby? Here is a great list of Bible Verses for Labor and Delivery
Our first baby is due soon and I’m under no illusions that I have any kind of idea what it will be like. I know every labor and delivery is different, so I’ve tried to take a really chill approach towards everything. If you know me then you know this isn’t my normal attitude. I like to have a plan, know what’s going to happen and when it’s happening Well if you’ve had a baby then you know this is one thing we can’t control. This baby is going to come when and how she wants. One thing I’ve known though that I wanted to do was put together some Bible Verses for Labor and Delivery.
I have no idea if I’m going to be at all interested in reading through anything while I’m in labor or having Tyler read me these bible verses. That is why I tried to get them done a little early so I could start working on memorizing the verses. Having these verses committed to memory to call to mind during labor if I need to is important to me. I’m a firm believer in the power of prayer and God’s word and knowing that even if things aren’t going how I might have imagined them that God is still in control. Remembering this is very important for my anxious self.
I scoured the web and put together a list of scriptures to put on my cards so I wanted to share them with you in case you’re wanting to make your own memory verse cards. I thought about typing them up and making cute little cards but instead I decided to cut out some cute cards with my Silhouette and hand write the verses. Whenever I want to memorize scripture I like to handwrite it because I think that helps commit it to memory even more.
Here are the verses I pulled together, I’d love to hear any verses you would add to this list!

Did you read the Bible or these verses when going through labor? if yes, did it help you? we’re you able to focus on the verses and concentrate?

Hi Kathy, I actually wasn’t able to focus on these during labor. They were so helpful in the weeks leading up and then during labor I had my husband turn on praise and worship music which helped me immensely in remaining calm.
