My guest poster Christine is sharing a delicious dessert recipe for Black Forest Brownies
Sometimes you just have a day where everything went wrong. A day where your phone at work never stopped ringing, you forgot your lunch at home, and traffic makes your drive take twice as long as it should.
On days like these, a girl needs a treat. And there is just something about a black forest cake that is just…
Well, it’s indescribably delicious.
These brownies are a serious treat. They will make your life so much better and they really are very simple. Make yourself a batch on your next long day but be careful…they are addicting and you will want to eat the whole pan.
You will need:
-1 box favorite brownie mix (including eggs/oil as listed on the box of brownie mix)
-1 jar cherry pie filling
-approximately 2 cups of Cool Whip
First, mix together your brownie mix as directed on the box. Add in about 4 tablespoons of the cherry pie filling.
Spread brownie mix in a greased pan and cook according to directions on box. When a toothpick comes out mostly clean, they’re done! Allow your brownies to cool at room temperature, then transfer to the fridge until they are completely cool.
Then spread a layer of Cool Whip over them.
Now, spoon on the rest of the cherry pie filling and spread it out.
Allow brownies to set in the fridge for about twenty minutes so that everything holds together, then serve and enjoy!
Make sure you save any leftovers in the fridge.
