Can you believe it’s back to school time already? Fall is practically here although the weather is not reflecting that yet, for us at least. We have a lot of teachers in my immediate and extended family, so when school is starting back I am always thinking of them. The job they do is so important and is not an easy one. I used to find myself incredibly frustrated just doing 30 minutes of homework when I was a nanny. I can’t imagine being a teacher on a daily basis. This school year I wanted to spread some encouragement and Back to School Greetings with Hallmark.
I headed out to Wal Mart the other week to check out the Hallmark Value cards section and pick out some encouraging cards for my relatives who are teachers. There was a great selection of cards that are $.47 and $.97 cents. You can’t beat that deal on greeting cards.
I picked up a couple of encouraging cards. I also couldn’t resist picking up a baby boy one because my best friend just found out she’s having a boy!
I know these are the days of text messages and Facebook posts but there is still something so special about receiving a card in the mail. When you get a card you know someone is really thinking about you because they had to put forth the effort to purchase, write and mail the card. I love picking up special cards for family and friends for their birthdays and other special occasions! I got that from my mom, she has always been very consistent about sending cards to people for special occasions, so I followed suit.
When you’re buying your cards at Wal Mart, be sure you are signed up for the Hallmark Card Rewards program. For every 5 cards purchased you will get a reward of your choice. I love being rewarded, don’t you? Tell me, do you usually send out greeting cards?
Make sure you check out Hallmark Conncections to sign up for Hallmark Rewards, and to see great content from other bloggers. Join in the #ValueCards conversation on Twitter!

I must admit I like most people have gotten use to sending Facebook post or texting. But nothing makes someone feel better than a physical card in the mail. Great post.

I love giving cards. My colleagues and friends seem to appreciate the little token of notice. I didn’t know there was a rewards program. This is good information.
