Ok, I’m going to be honest and get real today. I am the worst housekeeper. I just am never motivated to get my house cleaned but it drives me crazy when it’s messy. Well with the new year comes resolutions and I wanted to share with you my Weekly Cleaning Schedule with free printable.

Now let me tell you I am not sharing this with you to brag about how I completely changed my life. Change takes time and dedication and some motivation which I need. This cleaning schedule, which I am printing out and hanging in my house, is my new motivation. My hope is that if I stick with this schedule as best I can, because sometimes life just doesn’t allow us to get everything done, that I will be able to keep my house in better order. So let me give you a run down of the schedule I have created. I’ve left the spaces on the printable blank so you can adjust it to your schedule.

Sunday- Grocery shop and clean out the refrigerator. I am so bad at keeping leftovers and never eating them. I keep saving them and then all of the sudden I am like where are all of my tupperware dishes? I like to clean out my fridge when I restock it because it seems to make the most sense.

Monday- Vacuum, Sweep and Mop. Monday will be floor day. Because I have dark hardwoods and two dogs my floors get incredibly messy. So I want to start the week off with clean floors!

Tuesday- Dust- Dusting is something that must be done and I don’t do it enough. We have a lot of dark furniture that really shows dust. I like dusting because it’s a pretty easy task and not too labor intensive.

Wednesday- Wipe down kitchen. About midway through the week seems like a good day to really give the kitchen a good wipe down and get all the dirt and food off the counters and stove top.

Thursday- Wipe down bathrooms- This schedule isn’t for deep cleaning just general cleaning so on Tuesdays I will wipe down the sinks, toilets and tub in my three (yes three) full bathrooms.

Friday- Pick up and put away. I like the idea of picking up and putting away all the stuff from the week that we have tossed on the tables, counters etc. before the weekend begins. This way we can start the weekend with a straight home and therefore take Saturday off from the cleaning schedule!

This has been my first week doing the schedule and I am proud to say I stuck with it! Each day either right before or after lunch has been my designated cleaning time. Hopefully I can stick with this because I do like my cleaner house. I’ve printed out my printable, filled in my days and have it on my fridge so I can’t forget!

I actually have the same thing in my home, but I haven’t stuck with it in a while! Ever since we got back from California at the end of December I just haven’t gotten back into my cleaning routine. This may just be the push I need!
