OREO Cookie Ball Footballs are your perfect sweet treat for game day.

Game day can be a pretty big deal around our house, especially if our teams make it to the big game. We love to have my sister and brother-in-law over to watch the games with us. I love creating fun football themed treats to enjoy when we’re watching the game. I was so excited to make these OREO Cookie Ball Footballs.

I had been wanting to try out these OREO cookie balls forever so I headed out to Wal Mart to pick up my ingredients to make them. They only require three ingredients, which is a win in my book.

A major plus is how easy they are to make. I used the food processor to get the OREO’s down to fine crumbs. While I was dipping them into the melted chocolate I felt like Lucy from the chocolate factory episode of I Love Lucy, have you seen it? I had both hands covered in chocolate and of course an itch on my nose.

Prep time: 20 mins
Cook time: 1 hour 10 mins
Total time: 1 hour 30 mins

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 36 OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups)
  • 4 pkg. (4 oz each) semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted
  • Optional Ingredients:
  • White decorating icing
Instructions
  1. Mix cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended
  2. Shape mixture into football shapes
  3. Freeze for 10 minutes

After we made the OREO cookie balls mixture we then shaped them to look like footballs. This gives them a cute football theme perfect for your party for the big game! Tyler even had a little fun setting up plays with them, notice our attempt at making a referee? He wasn’t the best, but it was fun and still tasted delicious.

Once the cookie balls were shaped like footballs and dipped in chocolate we took white icing with a decorating tip to draw the lines on the footballs. Tyler has a more steady hand than me so I put him in charge of adding the lines to the footballs. He did a great job!

These OREO Cookie Balls were so delicious! They make the perfect game time sweet treat and with only three ingredients they are easy to make! Have you ever tried OREO Cookie Balls? If not then I suggest you do as soon as possible!
