I don’t decorate excessively for Valentine’s but I like to add a little red decor to my house around this time. I wanted something that would blend in well with my decor I already have but also add just a little pop. I racked my brain for ideas and then of course went to a couple craft stores, looked at their decorations and thought how could I make something like this? The idea I came up with wasn’t very much like anything I saw but those items got the creative ball rolling.

I love doing crafts with burlap ever since I discovered that they make burlap canvases I have been all about decorating with them. Did you see my Initial Burlap Canvases? They are one of my favorite projects I did for our master bedroom. I decided for this craft I would do something that could even be kept around as decor year round if I wanted.

Supplies:
– Four 6×8 burlap canvases
– Wooden Letters, L,O,V,E
– Red paint
– Paint brush
– Glue gun

I picked up four 6×8 burlap canvases, wooden letters and a deep red paint (I didn’t want to go too bright). I already had a paint brush and glue gun. Fortunately I organized my craft supplies awhile back and realized how many paint brushes I own. So I stopped buying them every time I did a craft.

Instructions:
1. Began by painting your letters red, I did two coats for mine. Let it dry between coats.

2. After your letters are dry then you can hot glue them to the burlap canvases. Press them on well to ensure they stick to the canvases then allow them to dry.

3. After this you are done, find the perfect place in your house to display them!

See how simple? I am a huge fan of simple projects and I love how these turned out! I decided to display them on my mantle and I love how they look there.
