Hosting can be stressful. Take some of the stress out with this simple Black Bean Salsa and cute Football Themed Snack Pails for your next party!
I’ll be honest with you guys, hosting is not my favorite thing. I get mega stressed out by it all. I worry the food won’t be good or the decorations won’t be cute enough. Then on top of prepping the food and decorations, my house has to be clean too. It’s a lot of work. But I also enjoy having people over to our house so I still want to host little get togethers. I’ve discovered a secret to hosting. Are you ready? Cute things and delicious food don’t have to take forever. It’s true and today I have two super simple hosting ideas for you, a cute craft and a recipe.
Let’s start with the craft. Anytime I host a party or get together I want my spread to look cute. I mean who doesn’t, right? I’m pretty sure we could all spend hours making the perfect decorations. But with a crawling baby on the loose, my “crafting time” is what I can quickly make during her nap. That’s where these cute Football Themed Snack Pails came into play. It took me about two minutes per pail for a cute container to hold the Snack Factory® Pretzel Crips® and Kettle Brand® Potato Chips that I picked up to go alongside my Black Bean Salsa.
Supplies:
-White pails or any white container to hold the snacks
-Black glitter craft tape
Instructions:
- Start by tearing off a piece of black craft tape about the length of your pail. Place it vertically on the pail.
- Next tear off three pieces that are a bit shorter. You will place those horizontally across the vertical piece. This will create the look of a football on the pail.
- On another pail place the black glitter craft tape vertically across the front of the pail using three to four pieces to create a referee’s shirt look.
See how easy? And one thing I love about this project is the craft tape is easily removed. So you can take it off if you want to reuse the pails for another occasion and for another simple craft.
Once you have your pails ready to hold your Kettle Chips and Pretzel Crips then you want to get your Black Bean Salsa ready. This dip is simple to throw together and will take you about 5-7 minutes. Have you added up the minutes yet? So far you’re prepped for this little party in just about 15 minutes. I love it! Don’t you?
Ingredients:

-1/2 cup sugar
-2 cans White Shoepeg Corn
-1/2 cup Canola Oil
Directions:

And viola, chips and dip for your party are done plus they are displayed in an incredibly cute way which makes this very small amount of effort a win because you’ve got a cute spread. You also have the Kettle Chips for your chip lovers or the Pretzel Crisps for those looking for a little different taste with their Black Bean Salsa.
