Make breakfast easy with this delicious recipe for Crock Pot French Toast. It’s the perfect brunch recipe for the whole family.
This meal made me so happy! It was my first crock pot breakfast success. After a failed attempt at crock pot oatmeal and crock pot grits I decided I could not give up. So I tried again with crock pot french toast and it turned out delicious! I have not had monkey bread in awhile but this reminded me of monkey bread.
After having not had this delicious breakfast for awhile I decided to remake it and take some better pictures of the dish for you guys. When doing so I decided I wanted to change it up and make the recipe more my own.
I added a cream cheese filling to the dish. If you’re not a fan of cream cheese then you can leave that part out, no harm no foul. But I wanted to make it a little extra special.
I was so excited when I came downstairs Saturday morning and tasted it and it was so yummy! I turned it back on low and let it cook without the top to try and make the top a little crisp while I made the grits to go with it.
This Crock Pot French Toast was a delicious and easy breakfast! It would also make a delicious crock pot dessert, whatever your preference.
I hope you all enjoy my first breakfast crock pot success. I hope there will be many more to come. Do any of you have good breakfast crock pot recipes? I am always open to new ones to try as I am trying to expand my recipe collection in that area!

I love anything I can prep in advance and my boys love anything they can eat first thing in the morning. Sounds like this will be a hit at my place!
Yes it is great for both of those things!
Emily
Sounds tasty and easy! Can you tell me what size crockpot you used. I never seem to see this info on slow cooker recipes, and it makes a big difference. Thanks!
You know I am not sure what size it is. But it is on the smaller size. This recipe pretty much fills it all the way up. I will see if I can figure it out.
Emily
Hello, did you cook itty on warm overnight, or low?
On low for 6 hours then allowed it to remain on warm until we were ready to eat it.
Emily
This sounds delicious. I am about to head to the store to get the ingredients for this. But, what is Filler and Topping?
The ingredients listed below Filler and Topping are what make up the filler and topping! Hope you enjoy!
Emily
How many would you say this serves? Thanks!
Probably 4-6 people!
Thanks!
Emily
Does the milk go into the filler and topping?
No the milk goes into the main ingredients 🙂
Enjoy!
Emily
How many servings does it make? Can it feed 6 fully?
If it’s the only dish you’re making it would probably be closer to feeding 4 fully. But served alongside an egg dish it could probably feed 6.
Thanks!
Emily
I really want to try this, looks delicious. Just curious how its an “overnight” breakfast? I sleep for at least 8-9 hours. I wanted this for a school morning breakfast for my kids. Since it only take 6 hours to cook, I would have to put it on at 1am. Can you put it in the instapot slow cooker method on low for 8+ hours?
Hi Chelsey,
When I make it I usually do it for 6 hours and then just let it sit on warm until I’m ready to eat in the morning! I’ve not tried it in the instapot so I’m not sure how that would work!
Emily
I am so looking forward to fixing this tomorrow! I have searched so many recipes and this has all the ingredients i have except i only have 4oz of cream cheese but im going for it whole heartedly and happy! Hope you are still around and thank you again for a perfect crockpot french toast delish!!
God bless you!
